Kids' Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Our Kids’ Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is designed to challenge your children to utilize and develop both their bodies and minds. BJJ at New Breed Training Center will put your children in an atmosphere where they can succeed with any sized opponent, gain self-esteem, and confidence in their skills, and learn to never give up. With six different levels of classes, you are sure to find a class that will best suit your child. Our goal is for each child to want to come to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and make training part of their daily routine so that when they grow older, they will continue to flourish in the martial art.
Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Pre-K
Our Pre-K Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program is designed for children ages 3-5. In this program, young children will learn basic jiu-jitsu movements through a variety of games and hands-on activities.
Beginners
The Beginner Level of the Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program is designed to instill the fundamental movements and techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to children ages 5+. Children of more advanced levels of jiu-jitsu are welcome to attend the Beginner-level classes as well.
Intermediate (Grey Belt and Above)
The Intermediate Level of the Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program is designed for children who have received their (solid) gray belt or higher. In this program, children will be introduced to a more advanced level of technique and drilling to advance their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills. Children eligible for the Intermediate class may still attend Beginner classes if they would like to, but a minimum solid gray belt level is required to attend Intermediate Classes.
Advanced (Instructor Approval Only)
Our Advanced/Competition Kids Program is eligible only for those who have Instructor Approval. This curriculum will not only be significantly more advanced but also much more rigorous by design as we prepare children for high levels of competition. Children in the Advanced/Competition Kids Program will be of solid gray belt level or higher, and typically be age 10 and above (with very few exceptions). Slots for this program are highly selective, and instructors reserve the right to revoke approval if they deem that a child would be a better fit for other levels.
Saturday Kids Open Mat (Intermediate + Advanced + Instructor Approval)
Kids Open Mat provides an opportunity for children to have supervised sparring and drilling sessions beyond the allotted time during the week. Children in the Intermediate and Advanced classes are automatically approved to attend Kids Open Mat, and Beginners are eligible to attend upon Instructor Approval.
SATURDAY KIDS NO-GI (Advanced + Instructor Approval)
Saturday No-Gi classes are unique in that they will be combined with adult No-Gi, but the children will be assigned an Instructor to supervise them within the adult class. Proper No-Gi attire will be required (rashguard, spats/fight shorts). Children in the Advanced classes are automatically approved to attend Kids No-Gi, and children in the Beginners and Intermediate eligible to attend upon Instructor Approval.
